The Global Campus Visual Contest is open to all, professional and amateur, regardless of age, sex or nationality.

This theme wants to challenge the frequently negative image of LGBTIQ+ persons in the media and to encourage the elimination of the stigma, prejudice and discrimination that are still associated with what is perceived as non-conformity to rigid sexual and gender norms as well as cultural and social constructs of feminine and masculine.

For these reasons the GCVC 2018 invite photographers, both amateur and professional, to submit their works depicting the daily life of LGBTIQ+ persons, at school or in a working environment, deconstructing stereotypes and creating a positive narrative.

The entry period is from the 3 September to the 8 of February 2019 at 12 PM.

The contest will begin on Monday 3 September 2018 and ends on Friday, 8 February 2019 at 12 PM CET. We expressly reserve the right to disqualify any entries that we believe in good faith are generated by a so-called spam or automated email program or via scripts and automated submission. By participating, all entrants agree to abide by these Official Rules.

Participants will be the 100% owners and creators of the photo they submit. Copyright of the image will remain at all times with the photographer. The photo must not contain material that violates, misappropriates, or infringes upon any law or regulation or the rights of any third party, including any copyright, trademark, or any rights of publicity or privacy, or any other intellectual property rights.

Images will be used in connection to the Contest and may be used also to promote the educational objectives and activities of the GC. To promote the Contest and related events, Global Campus is granted the right to display the images submitted on social network websites. The name of the author will be always indicated.

There is no entrance fee.

The authors of the 15/20 most voted pictures of the Contest on Instagram, will be asked to provide a high resolution digital file (minimum 2000px wide at 300dpi) for the final vote of the Jury on the basis of the subject, originality and style.

To comply with Italian privacy laws, the finalists must agree on EIUC handling their personal data and publishing their original material in relation to the promotion and realisation of the contest and related events. Any information you submit, including your photo, may be collected, processed, stored and otherwise used by the Global Campus and its affiliates for the purposes of administering the contest.

The winner/s will be announced by the third week of February 2019 on the Global Campus Visual Contest and Instagram account.
